The Tampa Bay Great Books Summer Drama Conference was held in person at Compton Park (Tampa Palms) on Saturday June 25, 2022.  It was our first in-person conference in 2 ½ years, and it was a real thrill!  Fourteen of us gathered around for a first-rate discussion of two great plays by Tennessee Williams.

Patrick DeMarco led us in a discussion of The Glass Menagerie in the morning, followed by a delicious pot-luck luncheon.

Before beginning the discussion of A Streetcar Named Desire in the afternoon, Linda Feeney asked us all to scream out what we’d been wanting to since reading this play.  On the count of three, we call screamed: “STELL-LAHHHHH!”  A very mature and fascinating discussion followed.
