Fall 2019 Conference: American Immigration: Views from the Inside

No subject in recent years has earned as much attention or fostered as much discussion as America’s immigration crisis. Public exchanges have crystallized into a cacophonous display of sloganeering between two groups — those in favor of more compassionate border policies, and those convinced of the need to safeguard our country from security threats and job losses.

The theme this September’s conference – American Immigration: Views from the Inside – gives us the opportunity to study other critical perspectives — from the viewpoint of the immigrant entering illegally, and that of the undocumented alien trying to make a living and avoid discovery and deportation.
